It has the story of repurposing fabric to create something beautiful. In Bangladesh,stunning saris are designed to be worn on special occasions and can feature luxurious fabrics, hand painted designs and unique local weaves. Basha uses the remnants of these fabrics to bring some of their beauty into your home. It takes hours of careful hand stitching in even and straight rows to create this beautiful piece of work of kantha on this cushion.

The ancient craft of kantha stitching has meant many sari's have been repurposed over the generations. We think Basha's workmanship is some of the best from its region!

Dimensions: 46cm x 46cm  A perfect size for a scatter cushion.

Colour: Deep olive green with coffee and okra red embroidered side panel both front and back. Kantha stitching in orange, white and light green thread.

Includes Cushion Insert: Cotton casing polyester filling.

Washing advice: The women of Basha dry clean it for you before shipping and when you need to we suggest you dry clean it as well.

This cushion has been kantha stitched by a Bengali woman who has now been restored from a high risk situation.   After twelve months of support and training she now has  safe work place which also provides supportive care for her family.
