Women of Influence

Basha's founder, Robin Seyfert

In celebration of International Women's Day 2021, we wanted to highlight one of the boss ladies in our for Dignity family.

Today we wanted to celebrate Robin Seyfert, the founder of Basha Boutique ("Basha").

If you missed our interview with Robin last year, you could watch our

"A Voice for Dignity" chat with this world-changer.

Originally from Oregon, USA, Robin founded Basha on 2 May 2011 to provide a sustainable livelihood through dignified work for women at risk and survivors of trafficking in Bangladesh. That is an amazing feat!

Through Basha, Robin has helped these women gain job and entrepreneurial skills in a healthy, healing and supportive environment. The women's families also value and respect them more as they can generate income from the products they make by hand. Basha  provides social support, ongoing education, and children programs for their employees' children to help break the cycle of poverty and victimisation.

Robin is a woman of influence who has made a significant impact on the women in her community. We honour you today, Robin and thank you for partnering with us to empower survivors of trafficking and give them hope and a future!
